The Weatherby Lake Entrance Advisory Group Committee consists of 17 resident volunteers, and 9 resident volunteer advisors acting under the authority of the Mayor of the City of Weatherby Lake and its Board of Aldermen. Their purpose is to envision, create, and implement a plan approved by the BOA to enhance our city street entrances.
The Entrance Project includes eight street entrances that will incorporate traffic safety qualities, improve the value of property to all residents, and highlight the community's unique charm and natural beauty.
Through a comprehensive selection process, the Entrance Advisory Group and the City Board of Aldermen have chosen The Greensman, Inc. to design and construct the entrance monuments and landscaping. Owned by Kristopher Dabner, The Greensman, Inc. is a full-service landscape design and services company established in 1994 with a high reputation in the Kansas City area. Kristopher is a Weatherby Lake resident.
The Project will be funded by community pledges, grant searches, and Kansas City, Missouri replacement funds for the Barry Road entrances. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2010, with completion expected in 2012.
