Birmingham Park – 72nd Terrace & 73rd Terrace
Rest Area & Picnic Tables
Don & Kathy Birmingham generously donated this park as a Christmas Gift to the community in 1993. The park is also the site of the "Liberty Tree" and of the "Weatherby Lake War Memorial".


Thompson Park – 73rd Terrace west of NW Eastside Drive
Tennis Courts & Playground
Ernest C. "Ernie" Thompson – 1882-1958 – A founding father of Weatherby Lake. Ernie was a pioneer developer in Southern Platte County. He began acquiring land in Rush Creek Valley in 1924, the site of Weatherby Lake. Thompson, along with Glenn Weatherby built the dam in 1936, creating Weatherby Lake.

King Park – 75th Street west of Eastside Drive
Playground Equipment
Arthur M. King – One of Weatherby Lake’s most influential leaders. Art served as Mayor, President of WLIC, and founding member of the Sailing Club. An early environmental advocate, his focus centered on development and protection of the lake from 1946 to 1991.
